ZAMBRANO-FERNANDEZ, María Pamela  and  NAVARRETE-PITA, Yulexy. Didactic Strategy for Strengthening Literacy in Students with Special Educational Needs of General Basic Education. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.2  Epub Aug 01, 2023. ISSN 2308-0132.

Education is a necessary process for human beings to develop their abilities and understand their potential, while trying to understand how the complex environment around them works. The objective of this article was to design a didactic strategy to strengthen reading and writing skills in students with special educational needs in the eighth year of General Basic Education. The research was non-experimental with a mixed approach. Theoretical, empirical and mathematical or statistical methods were used to go deeper into the problem and gather information. The instruments used were the observation guide and the questionnaire. The sample was intentional and non-probabilistic and consisted of 4 eighth year students of General Basic Education of the “Simón Bolívar” Fiscal Educational Unit of the province of Manabí. The proposal was validated by consulting experts who determined that it was suitable for implementation.
