Abstract

GARCIA MARTINEZ, Andrés  and  ATIAJA ATIAJA, Lourdes. Methodology for the development of massive open courses online. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2022, vol.41, n.1  Epub Mar 01, 2022. ISSN 0257-4314.

It is unimaginable to conceive education without technologies in this era of globalization, which requires Higher Education Institutions to make their academic catalog more flexible and adopt the paradigm of lifelong learning to update the knowledge of professionals. With this new mission of the universities, the democratization of access and opportunities for continuous training is a social responsibility of the universities; that is why countless institutions worldwide are adopting massive open online courses (MOOCs) as an inclusive education alternative, in order to meet the needs of lifelong learning. In this sense, the objective of this work is to reveal a reference for the design and development of MOOC, from a vision of a developmental teaching-learning methodology, based on the Theory of activity and connectivism.

Keywords : connectivism; inclusive education; continuing education; information and communication technologies; activity theory.
