The universe and the sample represented 100 patients. 50% of them received laser puncture and the rest were given anti-inflammatories, analgesics and physiotherapy treatment. Results: in both groups the affection to the lateral epicondyle predominated: 82% of the group treated with laser puncture and 72% in the second group. The response to the treatment with laser puncture was satisfactory between the fifth and the tenth day with the use of laser puncture. The use of laser in acupunctural points was satisfactory in 96% of patients as compared with 60% treated with the traditional method. Conclusions: lateral epicondylitis predominated, and the syndrome by stagnation of energy as traditional diagnosis.
