The construction technique and material chosen, were two of the inclusive principles that architects used to achieve unity among the different schools. The article analyzes the role of Catalan vaults in the architectural design of schools, why this system was chosen and which were the consequences. Thereby, we study the figures of Gaudí, Le Corbusier, Bonet and Dieste as possible connecting links in the revival of the art of Catalan vault in Havana of the ‘60s.
