Abstract

The general objective was to determine the relationship between digital skills and job satisfaction in basic education teachers in Metropolitan Lima. The specific objectives were: to specify the relationship between information and information literacy and job satisfaction; identify the relationship between communication and collaboration and job satisfaction; define the relationship between the creation of digital content and job satisfaction; assess the relationship between safety and job satisfaction; determine the relationship between problem solving and job satisfaction. The study had a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, and a descriptive correlational level. The sample consisted of 34 secondary school teachers from a private basic education institute in Metropolitan Lima. The questionnaire had 59 questions, 25 for digital skills and 34 for job satisfaction, its reliability was verified through the judgment of three experts, its validity was also calculated, being α=0.81. The data analysis was carried out using the Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 25 programs. The descriptive analysis yielded 58.8% medium level for digital skills and 55.9% medium level for job satisfaction. The correlation coefficient between both variables was r=0.325 and sig=0.000<0.05, confirming the existence of low positive correlation.
