In today's world with a high degree of uncertainty and permanent change in the different spheres of society, constant efforts are required in terms of innovation, learning and creativity that allow promoting the development of any territory or nation. According to this context, it is essential to have tools that explore and illuminate possible future evolutions of complex problems and, in turn, human resources trained with the skills and abilities to implement them. In this sense, prospective is a discipline that offers certain advantages. The objective of this article is to address some theoretical and methodological elements of prospective and the pedagogical component implicit in it.
