Abstract

The study analyzes the incidence of the health emergency caused by Covid-19 in the performance of graduates of the University of Tourism Specialties UDET during the period 2021-2022 in terms of the tourism job offer. It is important to highlight that for the selection of the sample, a probabilistic sampling approach was used with judgment criteria of the researchers, constituting 30% of the population of interest; In this way, a survey was applied to 278 graduates of different careers, obtaining results related to the residence of the graduates, gender, career, work experience in the tourism sector, work areas and departments, among other relevant aspects for the present. investigation. Because of the health emergency caused by Covid-19, it has had a significant impact on the performance of graduates of the UDET University of Tourism Specialties in the tourism labor field. Despite the challenges, many graduates have sought alternatives to generate additional income and have shown resilience in the face of difficulties. These results provide valuable information to understand the current situation of the tourism sector and can serve as a basis for future research and actions aimed at promoting the recovery and development of tourism.
