Abstract
GOMEZ AGUILA, María Victoria; JIMENEZ, José Orlando and NAVA, Ángel Ignacio. Design of a labelling machine for water bottles. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2014, vol.23, n.4, pp. 76-81. ISSN 2071-0054.
Water purification is one of the activities that the Autonomous University Chapingo carries out inside its production units. The water is bottled and the labels are placed in a manual way. The average of labelled bottles is of around 1 000 bottles in a work day. The presentation of the labels is faulty, they are not aligned correctly, they also twist, and it is not made in a uniform way. The process of bottle labeling in a manual way transforms it into an ineffective and inefficient process, because the process becomes very slow and of low quality. The present work intends a design of water labelling machines of low cost production that elevate the productivity from 1000 to 4000 bottles in an 8 hours labour day. It was chosen to design the machine to label in such a way that the labels come off the roll of labels by themselves. The methodology to calculate the efforts and displacements that are generated in the load axes and tensile are those settles down in the principles of the mechanical engineering. The objective of this research was the one of designing the machine to label using the design approaches to the fracture, those that are proven with the simulation for finite elements using the program NASTRAN, in the software ANSIS, which allows to build the machine with a high level of dependability without unnecessary expenses that are generated.
