Abstract

QUISPE-AQUISE, Jhemy et al. Educational management and quality of vocational training in a Peruvian Public University. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.4, pp. 593-600.  Epub Aug 12, 2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

Educational management in universities encompasses a set of strategic and operational activities aimed at ensuring educational quality, institutional efficiency, and the achievement of educational objectives. It is a key factor in the formation of competent professionals and in the success of academic institutions in their mission to contribute to societal development. Therefore, the objective of this research was to determine whether educational management is significantly related to the quality of vocational training in the Faculty of Education of a public university in Peru. The research followed a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational design. The sample consisted of 84 students who completed two questionnaires. Preliminary results indicate that students have an unfavorable perception regarding educational management and the quality of vocational training. On the other hand, the Spearman's rho correlation coefficient between both variables was found to be 0.716, with a p-value lower than the significance level (p<0.05). It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between educational management and the quality of vocational training in the Faculty of Education of a public university in Peru. Therefore, it is suggested to develop a strategic plan that includes clear goals and objectives to enhance the quality of vocational training. This will allow for a clear direction and a coherent approach towards academic excellence.
