Abstract

The concepts associated to the labor market, it components, characteristics of its segmentation and conditioning factors are presented. The importance of the link between the labor market and the university is addressed. The opinions of the cuban real and potential employers about the information professional, his functions and competences, his role inside different organizations and society in general is analyzed. It reflects on the degree of satisfaction of the employers with the level of information professionals graduated in the last years.
