From many years ago the allusions to climateric like those reflected in genesis, in Egyptian papyrus or in texts of ancient great thinkers as Hippocrates or Aecio de Amidas. Aristotle was the firs in to put menopausia on record from more of two millenniums in its Animalium History. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the behavior of sexuality disorders and its response to treatment in "Julio Trigo López" Teaching Hospital from Arroyo Naranjo municipality from 2006-2007. METHODS: A cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study was conducted in a sample of 101 women seen in climateric and menopause consultation. Authors applied a survey related to its symptoms and signs and to its response to treatment. General data were collected from medical records. RESULTS: There was a very frequent libido decrease in ages from 45 to 49 years for a 39 %. This symptomatology is present in menopause women due to surgery for a 70.3 % of all menopause ones. In sexual environment predominated the dissatisfaction for a 53.1 % and a sexual desire decrease for a 23.4 %. CONCLUSIONS: Response to substitutive hormonal treatment was satisfactory in most of patients despite a treatment abandonment in a 11.8 % of women who started it for many reasons.
