There exist different sources that produce the new scientific and technological knowledge. We may highlight among them research in basic, social and applied sciences carried out by universities and other research centers. Transference of technology is one of the key activities carried out by universities nowadays and which favorably influence on the economic and social development of the communities and of the country. The present paper exhibits the study made, using as the main informative source the results obtained through a survey applied to a group of Colombian universities. These surveys collect information on different aspects with the aim to identify the situation of the offices of technologies transference, or similar structures in Colombian Universities.
