Abstract

GONZALEZ, R; PEREZ RUANO, M  and  BRITO, S. BOVINE FASCIOLOSIS. EVALUATION OF THE MAIN LOSSES IN A CATTLE ENTERPRISE. Rev Salud Anim. [online]. 2007, vol.29, n.3, pp. 167-175. ISSN 0253-570X.

The main economical losses by Bovine Fasciolosis regarding liver, milk and meat losses and expenses in the use of antiparasites were evaluated in a cattle enterprice for four years. This work concluded that this disease provoked affectation in one of the three bovines slauthtered with losses of $ 16 121.30 USD in liver, $ 316 078. 38 USD in milk, $ 170 664. 60 USD in meat and 14 686. 18 USD in antiparasitic treatment, having a total one of $ 517 550.46 USD. It is recommended to pay attention to this parasitic disease due to the economic implications it produces.
