Abstract
VILLALOBOS TAPIA, Carmem Elisa. The perspective of “taking care” of children in an interdisciplinary dimension. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2007, vol.23, n.1. ISSN 0864-0319.
The pediatric assistance involves much more than the prevention of a disease and health maintenance. It involves care according to the the children's needs, propitiating their growth and human development. The pediatric unit is a multiprofessional team aimed at the child's recovery. It is necessary a team spirit and mutual respect so that the members can accomplish these functions harmoniously through the combination of knowledge, experiences and abilities. The importance of the acting of any of the members of the team is the same, since all the activities have an indispensable part, in spite of the different actions with the children. These working attitudes find resonance in the principles of interdisciplinarity as a way of approach and dialogue among the several professionals taking care of children. Thus, this study searches subsidies in the practice of caring with discipline, as a way of making this attention as comprehensive as possible, since we observe that even the registers of the diverse professionals are separated, each one with a purpose of knowledge that usually coincides.
