Abstract
MILIAN MARTINEZ, Hiliana et al. The values formation process in the Informatics lesson. Rev Ciencias Médicas [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.1, pp. 100-110. ISSN 1561-3194.
Introduction: the term "value" is related to the existence of the person, affects its behavior, shapes its ideas and conditions, its feelings, and is dynamically changing. It largely depends on what has been internalized through the process of socialization and the attitudes reproduced from the several socializing levels: the school, family, community and the media. Objective: to characterize the formation of values using the Informatics lessons in the health technology major at Simon Bolivar Health Technology Institute of Pinar del Río. Material and methods: pedagogical qualitative study, theoretical and empirical methods such as historical and logical and the systemic-structural as well as the literature review were used. Results: 95% of the teachers know what their responsibilities as learners and what the most important values are to be in their students, for students only 25% of them know the values to form in the Informatics lessons. Conclusions: teachers and students have knowledge on the subject, although the latter have to go into details on the responsibility, and the values of hard-work and honesty.
