Medical Education plays a significant role in the clinical training of medical students; this includes the knowledge, skills, competences and values that allow them to successfully fulfill their functions in the future. The implementation of a diagnosis in the province of Holguín between September 2020 and March 2021, which consisted of reviewing the syllabus and subjects’ programs, exams and grading scales, as well as observing the performance of students while on call, the results obtained evidenced the need to improve their clinical training. That is why the objective of the present research is to argue the need for clinical training in the Medicine major, in this sense, the stages for the development of skills, clinical skills and the objectives and areas that should be taken into account for a successful professional performance, are adopted from a theoretical perspective.
