Abstract
GIL COLLADO, Guyen et al. Two solutions for the digitization of a stilling counterweight. EAC [online]. 2014, vol.35, n.2, pp.25-34. ISSN 1815-5928.
This work was developed by Microelectronics Research Center (CIME) at the request of Institute of Oceanolgy, with the aim of modernizing the existing mechanical instruments of this type in the country. This began with the digitization of german mechanical instrument Delta Seba Hydrometrie to monitoring in real time the variability of the height of sea level. The system comprises a transducer which converts the sensor signal into an electrical signal to be processed by a data acquisition system controlled by the microcontroller PIC 16 F877A, its digital output is transmitted to a PC serial port to analyze the data received, for this an interactive software can interpret, graph and stored in a database of measurement result was developed. The fundamental benefit of this work is obtain quickly and without loss of sea level measurements in real time or at each time interval, even on points in remote locations making stricter surveillance and greater reliability. Besides it possible to advance in the necessary knowledge designing a future network of this instruments in Cuba.
