Abstract

REGALON ANIAS, Orlando et al. Automation in bioproduct drying process. EAC [online]. 2015, vol.36, n.2, pp. 1-14. ISSN 1815-5928.

In the IGBC of Camagüey is produced several bio-products. Some ones are commercialized in liquid and powder. For the latter variant, the liquid product is processed in a spray dryer. This is manually operated and has an obsolete instrumentation that does not have the level of accuracy required by the product. In this paper the design and performance measurement systems, and the implementation of automation of the drying process is presented. Automation takes into account technological and economic aspects. As a result a drying process that meets the more reliable, with higher performance requirements and high efficiency is obtained.

Keywords : automation; control; spray dryer.
