The current context requires the comprehensive training of university students, the aesthetic content, focused on the development of spirituality, is one of its edges; it is affected by insufficiencies in its pedagogical treatment. The objective of the article is: to elaborate recommendations for the pedagogical treatment of the aesthetic content, by reading literary texts, as a dimension in the education of the personality of the students of the Career of tourist and hotel companies, in UNIANDES, Ibarra. Methods of the empirical and theoretical level are used when shaping the referents, elaborating the proposal and the conclusions. The recommendations designed stimulate the aesthetic taste by reading literary texts, an educational activity par excellence, which provides knowledge and sensitivity, essential in life.
