It's safe to say that online learning has found a permanent place in higher education. Conventional higher education institutions are also gradually adopting it throughout Peru. As online learning emerges as the new model of contemporary education both in Peru and around the world, ensuring the integrity of online exams is becoming a major challenge for many higher education institutions. To meet this challenge, many of these institutions are outsourcing online monitoring services. The present study, which was carried out on a total of 681 students, assesses the effect of proctored online tests on anxiety and student academic performance.

Keywords : Online supervision; learning; test anxiety; worry; emotionality.
