In this work, a study was conducted on the application of Cluster Analysis (CA), in the precincts of the first rural parish of the Milagro canton (Chobo), where its main source of economy is the sugar and banana industry. The objective is to determine the homogeneity between precincts, thus identifying the importance of access to education in socioeconomic levels. The method used is exploratory, so it searches in ten precincts with 198 observations for a similar group of individuals or variables that have been found to be relatively homogeneous. Thus applying Ward's technique as a hierarchical agglomeration method, which will help us to minimize the variance within each group. By means of the CA, the socioeconomic characterization of the precincts in homogeneous stations was demonstrated, where they were subdivided into three socioeconomic levels (low, medium and high). It was possible to verify that of the three resulting clusters, two of them with a socioeconomic level (low and medium), access to education is scarce, implying that education is an important axis for territorial development.
