Abstract

The objective of the article is to present the results of the application of a methodology to develop the treatment of the understanding of messages with non-verbal signs in the educational process of the computer activities in a sample of children of the preschool degree. The study is of prospective, transectional, observational, descriptive and explanatory type, from a quanti-qualitative focus, based on a pre-experimental design, with pre-test and post-test. As technical of gathering information there was used the observation of the computer activities and as mensuration instrument were applied two pedagogic tests. The prosecution of the information was developed through the non-parametric statistic of the ranges with sign of Wilcoxon, using the statistical package SPSS 24 for Windows. The data obtained in the experiment evidence significant results in the development of the communication, in favor of the post-test and of the High and Half categories, from the activities, exercises and tasks executed in computing independent activities, because the children achieve the identification of the icons, indications and symbols, the determination of the meaning and their interpretation, according to the context where the message is presented, as well as its manifestation through the verbal language.
