Abstract

TOMAS-ANTONIO, Justino; LEGRA-LOBAINA, Arístides A.  and  GILBERTO-POLANCO, Ramón. Modeling 3D of volumetric mass in lateritic ore deposits by estimators (A,U,θ). Min. Geol. [online]. 2020, vol.36, n.3, pp. 300-315.  Epub Sep 30, 2020. ISSN 1993-8012.

An UPD estimator of the family (A,U,Θ) is proposed to model the volumetric mass in lateritic ore deposits which takes into account spatial and geochemical composition relationships. Its satisfactory implementation in the Punta Gorda ore deposit with a compact support that takes into account the territorial domain of the ore deposit, the vertical layers and a reasonable number of samples close to the point where it is estimated each time, allowed to perform a cross-validation procedure that indicates what more than 90 % of the estimates have differences not greater than 20 % with respect to the measured values.

Keywords : Volumetric mass; lateritic ore deposit; estimation; UPD model; cross-validation.
