Abstract

ORTIZ RODRIGUEZ, Alfonso Enrique; GASKINS ESPINOSA, Benjamín Gabriel; PARRA SERRANO, Luís Raúl  and  VAZQUEZ MILANES, Hugo Berto. Technological and operation evaluation from machines groups in the forrower for the sweet potato cultivation (Ipomoea batatas (Lam) Poir). Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.2, pp. 11-14. ISSN 2071-0054.

The employment of several joints in the forrower is carried out using machine tools having different constructive characteristics what will determine the efficiency of the machine-tractor work. This research was developed in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) "El Palmar", belonging to the Agricultural Enterprise Paquito Benítez Rosales, Veguitas, Yara, Granma Province (three periods), using the investigative analytic method. The study was aimed to evaluation for the cultivation of sweet potato (Ipomoea potato /Lam/ Poir), in a fluvial soil in the farm work of furrowing, keeping in mind the behavior of the indexes technological-workable the MTZ-50 tractor with a furrowing fertilizing implement IIMA BALDAN 4500 (T1), the furrowing earthing up SA-5 (T2) and SA-3 (T3). The treatment T1, showed the better results, it made better use of furrow width in 21 and 33 %, and the speed was higher in 3 and 6%, as well as the useful working time (in 9 and 13%). The productivity in treatment T1 was increased in 13 and 17%, on the other hand, total expenses diminished in 20,7 and 37,0% in relationship to T2 and T3 respectively.

Keywords : Technological evaluation; operation; forrower; sweet potato.
