FONDEN CALZADILLA, Juan Carlos; MEZQUIA DE PEDRO, Natascha  and  GONZALEZ GARCIA, Sergio. Operational strategy for the self-assessment process of Miguel Enriquez Faculty of Medical Sciences of Havana. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.5, pp. 347-356.  Epub Oct 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The mission and vision of the Miguel Enríquez Faculty reflect the aspiration to achieve a quality of excellence in all the processes that are developed in teaching, research, university extension and administration. Therefore, the study, commitment and effective action of all the factors involved are necessary in order to design an operational strategy for the faculty's self-assessment process this year. Methods were used, among them: Historical - Logical to carry out an analysis of the institutional evaluation reports in 2018 and of accredited specialties until the 2020 academic year, in order to observe their trend and learn about the different stages of their development and background. Through documentary analysis, the content of Ministerial Resolutions, the ISO 9000 and 9001 standards of 2015 and articles of interest for quality management, indexed in the Scielo and Scopus databases, were investigated. Internet search and retrieval techniques were applied, as well as brainstorming for the exchange of opinions. The strengths, weaknesses and improvement plans were obtained as a result of the application of the operational strategy in which activity systems were rationally planned, organized, executed, controlled and redesigned. The operational strategy that allowed the preparation of the self-assessment report of the Miguel Enríquez faculty is robust, applicable, improvable and possible extension to other educational institutions.
