The book consists of 58 pages divided into 4 chapters, with very accessible language, where it is expressed what: the art of cutting and sewing is as old as the use of clothing for aesthetic purposes, not only to cover the body or protect it from inclement weather. With this cutting and sewing book in PDF format you have the opportunity to learn techniques and theoretical aspects necessary to perform a trade related to tailoring or sewing.

The main purpose of this book is to become a practical guide to support the learning of the cutting and sewing trade, which will be very useful for assisted learning or self-learning of people interested in this trade.

Cutting and sewing are activities or trades that are related to the textile industry or the performance of a craft in the field of fashion. They are developed by tailors, seamstresses or dressmakers, but also by fashion designers who have a career just beginning.

It is the production or manufacture of garments, which have gone through a process of design, pattern creation, cutting and sewing of parts to result in a garment.

Also, it should be noted that when we talk about cutting and sewing, we are generally talking about tailor-made garments. This process is different in the textile industry, which mass-produces the pieces. In this case, the garments are made in different sizes and the public can only choose between them.

Fashion designers need the cutting and sewing developed by seamstresses, an activity that is delegated to them so that the designer can devote himself to the creation in sketches of the different garments that can be unique or designed for industrial manufacture.

The reviewed work (Antonio, 2012) is current and relevant. It has originality and a praiseworthy effort was made to promote new studies on this little-studied subject of forest fires in the province of Guantánamo. It responds to the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution for the period 2016-2021, guidelines 99, 101, 104, 108, of the Science, Technology and Environment Policy.

The present research analyzes the Third Exhibition of Manual Arts and Small Industries, in 1964. In the first chapter, the policies of development and progress in which the country was embarked in the 1960s are evidenced, which reveal the conditions of possibility that allowed the existence of the fair in question. The industrialization effort, as well as the eagerness to exploit craftsmanship, was recurring themes during the exhibition, which are examined in the following two sections. Thus, the second chapter describes the different expository languages that were used in the exhibition along with the discourse it handled, and the third chapter analyzes the different ways in which the concepts of the various ways in which the concepts of skill, quality and progress were displayed in the study.

In the first part, we describe the methodological approach of the vocational training program of the Intersectoral Association for Economic Development and Social Progress (CIDEP), exposing the methodological framework of apprenticeship and job training in force in the association.

In a second part, we will present the course of cutting and sewing divided into 3 modules, and integrally dedicated to the area of clothing, starting with the basic knowledge of working tools, including the sewing machine, followed by a chapter detailing how to work with patterns or another presenting simple ways to make skirts, blouses and pants.

Finally, we present a last chapter on textile fibers and international standards for washing and ironing garments.

Starting from the mission of this book which expresses: To develop educational and social programs and projects aimed at training and strengthening the competencies of people from early childhood, enabling them to prepare and integrate as citizens to the socio-economic, political, technological and cultural sphere, to enhance the organizational and self-management capacity of communities with economic and social disadvantages, which empowers them to defend the right to education, to promote comprehensive health, gender equity, culture of peace, responsible citizenship and sustainable environment in the perspective of transforming the socio-economic conditions of the country.

And its vision of: To be a leading institution in the national educational field that works for the right to education, for human welfare and democratic coexistence, through educational, organizational and participatory options, aimed at the development of citizenship skills and attitudes, promotion and education for the integral health of the population, gender equity, culture of peace and environmental sustainability; in order to contribute to transform the socio-economic conditions of people and communities with economic and social disadvantages in the country.
